Attention Upper School Students: Yearbook Club Informational Meeting - this Thursday 9/13 at 3:45 p.m. after school in the Band Hall UNTIL 4:15 p.m.

Parents, we have observed many cars speeding through the parking lot.  We should not have to ask you to not SPEED. Speed Limit is 5 mph.

Please help us keep EVERYONE safe by SLOWING down.

https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.rSgHE4M2J3PU7QILfC3SpAAAAA&pid=15.1&P=0&w=300&h=300It is EXTREMELY important that you are not on your cell phone while you are dropping your child(ren) off in the mornings or picking your child(ren) up in afternoon. This is for everyone’s safety.

If you wanted a spirit shirt and we did not have your size, now is your time to come and get one.  We received a new shipment of shirts yesterday.  Come by the school office to purchase one.

LOCK YOUR CARShttp://images.clipartpanda.com/key-clipart-car_keys.gif

Parents, it is very important that you LOCK your cars and not leave valuables in sight.  Even if you think, you are only going to be away from your car a few minutes – that is all it takes for someone to take something from your car.

AND please, NEVER leave your child(ren) in the car while you come into the school office or ELS. Our parking lots are very open and large and have lots of traffic.

  PHONE CALLShttp://weclipart.com/gimg/26E994B83D012CE4/telephone-vector-phone-clipart.jpeg

If you receive a phone call from the school, PLEASE check your phone for a message before you call back.  With many staff and faculty, those of us in the office that answer the phone have no way of knowing who might have called you.

I pray that everyone has had a great start to the school year.  Athletics is in full swing and to help keep everyone up to date on what is happening in our athletic department….visit our athletic website at  www.fbaathletics.com

All athletic information such as schedules, important announcements, game or practice cancellations, score updates, will be posted on the athletic website.  So, if you are a teacher or parent and want to know how our teams did, or if you are wanting to go to a game you will find it on the athletic website.

When you visit the website, SIGN UP to receive email updates.  This is a great resource for parents to stay in the loop.  On the left side of the website click on the section that say “email updates…follow your team” and enter your email address.  Make sure that you click to receive messages from the athletic director and all the sports that your child will be participating in.  The athletic director and coach will post all information and communication on the website and if you have signed up you will automatically get an email detailing what was posted.

If you have a question about practices or games, you can contact the coach directly through the athletic website…just click on coach tab at the top and you will see all of our FBA coaches.  Click on their name and you will have access to their contact information.

The website even has all the forms that your student will need in order to participate in athletics.  Click on the LINKS/FORMS tab and you will see the following forms that can be printed:

  • 2018-2019 Athletic handbook

  • The addresses of our away games

  • HS or MS athletic forms that your son/daughter will need to have filled out and turned in depending on their grade level

One last note to mention is the sport/activity drop down menu.   Here you will find every sport that FBA offers. Once you have picked the sport that your child is, participating in you will see the following option at the top of the page: News, Announcements, schedule, roster, photo gallery, and videos.

Please make sure to view each section as there is important information.  The schedule section will tell you what time the games begin and where they will be played. Scores will be posted here as well so you can see how your team did.

And if you want to show your spirit and support your team at games, you can click on the “Spirit Gear” tab and find all kinds of goodies to show your FBA spirit!

Thank you for supporting FBA athletics and I pray the athletic website makes life just a little bit easier for you!!

Ice Cream on FRIDAYS!!!

PUNCH CARD: 14 Ice Creams for $10 (that’s one ice cream FREE)

You can still pay with cash each week (75 cents), but if you buy a card we will keep the card at the Ice Cream “Stand” at each lunch period and punch the card for each use: that way the kids don’t have to remember their money each week…or lose any money!

WE are off to a great start.  FBA has collected 1,235 actual Box Tops towards this year’s goal.    Please remember to continue to save your Box Tops and ask friends and family to help too.
