May 4, 2020
While we are always thankful for our amazing teachers, we are happy to recognize them this week for all they do for our school.
Their dedication, loyalty, and love for God and their students is so great. We love each of you and are in prayer over you!
Thank you FBA teachers!
Please join us on May 15th at 6:00 p.m. for our Senior Parade to celebrate our FBA 2020 graduating class! Observers are welcome to park in the large parking areas at safe distances to cheer on our graduates as they drive through our parking lot parade route. Signs and decorated cars are encouraged!
All persons must remain in their vehicles and follow social distancing guidelines. Details will follow at a later date.
Students, if you have any library books that were checked out before Spring Break, please return them when you come to pick up your belongings (see Student Parent Pickup Schedule below). Mrs. Cooper will be collecting books that week and checking them in. As stated before, there is no fine if they are returned by then. However, please do not keep them any longer than May 20. Thank you, and keep reading!
Also, if you have checked out a textbook(s), please turn these in as well. If the book(s) is/are not returned your account will be charged.
Track uniforms need to be turned in on your assigned day (see Student Parent Pickup Schedule below). The uniforms need to be clean and put in a zip lock bag with the student name written on the bag. If the uniform is not returned your account will be charged.
If anything was left in the athletic lockers in the gym, the items will be bagged and will be with the other school items.
Student/Parent Pickup Schedule
We have set forth a time on the last day of school for students/parents to do a drive through pickup of personal items and return any school items. We have reserved a slot for each teacher/grade so they can be there to wave goodbye. Please see your time below and see if you are driving by the ELS/Preschool area or school office.
We can put items from sibling groups together, but they may not all get a goodbye wave from their teacher. Please contact your teachers and let them know if you need to arrange one pickup for all siblings so we can have their items at the requested time slot. If you are unable to make it at your assigned time, we will leave your items out until 6:00 p.m. on your assigned day only. All persons must remain in their vehicles and follow social distancing guidelines.
FBA 2020 Yearbooks
A notice from the publisher was received that their printing facility is still considered non-essential and will be closed at least for the foreseeable future. So, we won't be getting our yearbooks before the end of the school year as we planned back in August. We still have the order lists and whenever they come in, we will let you know and make arrangements with you to get them.
On a related note, since our student staffers have been "furloughed" and cannot go door-to-door, we are still in need of three corporate sponsors that would be willing to help with ads for the yearbook. If you (or someone close to you) are able to make decisions for your company, we have three pages still available for corporate sponsorship. A page is only $100 and will go a long way to help cover some of the costs of the yearbook. Contact Mr. Strawn (email@example.com) if you are interested in sponsoring a page in the yearbook.
Please continue to submit Box Tops (digitally or send physical Box Tops to FBA) to earn money for FBA. Thank you to all who have continued to submit. As a reminder, digital Box Tops receipts must be scanned within 14 days of purchase. This year’s competition will end May 15, 2020.
