  • There is an exciting new partnership between Texas A&M University - College Station and Alamo Colleges. It is called the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges District.   Briefly, the Engineering Academies are an innovative co-enrollment program that provides a pathway to students interested in pursuing their engineering degree at Texas A&M University.  Students admitted to an Engineering Academy at Alamo Colleges District are Texas A&M engineering students co-enrolled at Texas A&M University in the College of Engineering and at Alamo Colleges District.  They enroll in math, science, and core curriculum courses through Alamo Colleges and have the unique opportunity to enroll in Texas A&M engineering courses taught by Texas A&M faculty on the Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) campus.  Students spend a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years co-enrolled before transitioning full time to College Station to finish their bachelor’s degree.  The Academies are providing more access and affordability to Aggie engineering degrees.  This program can be a great option for students who want to stay close to home, save money, and enjoy small class sizes.
