We all shop online and now your child’s school can benefit from it.

Last year we introduced a great opportunity for our school so we wanted to remind our existing families and share with our new ones.Image result for amzon smile

AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support First Baptist Academy every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same site as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to FBA.  You use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile.

On your first visit to AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), you need to select First Baptist Academy of Universal City.  They will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation.  The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchase to FBA, which are labeled “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation.

What:   STEM Challenge with LEGO Students Grades 3 – 5 will have the opportunity to enroll in the Play-Well Program here at F.B.A.   Students meet one day a week for 7 weeks, “applying real world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects.”  Limited space available.  For more information, see flyer distributed to 3rd – 5th Grade students.

Thank you for coming to the

Back-to-School BBQ

We had some serious fun last Friday night.

Harmon’s BBQ was delicious and the Bake Sale was a success.

It was so nice to see the fellowship amongst all the families.

Also, thank you to the FBA teachers who participated in the games.

    Fundraiser Information

We saw a huge success in the fundraiser sales and with the opt-out option.

We appreciate your support so much

and can see the love for FBA through your hard work!

Sadly, we came up short on our goal this year.

If you did not participate, the opt-out option is still available and we welcome a donation.

Thank you for your sacrifice and for any help to achieve our goal.

As you know, there was a situation with the scoring of the TerraNova tests that we took last spring. We normally receive the online access for parents to look at scores almost immediately. This past year, a new company was hired by ACSI to do the scoring and experienced major problems. We finally have received the letters with information for you to access last year’s testing scores! Your child will be bringing home a personalized letter with information for you to access your child’s scores today, September 13. Thank you for your patience.

Please pray for our FMSC packing event this Thursday-Saturday, September 14-16. If you reserved time slots that you will not be using, please release them so they can be filled by others who would like to participate. We are getting close to meeting our giving goal, so if you are able to give, you may do so online or place your offering in an offering envelope and mark it for Feed My Starving Children.

Join us this Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in the Peace Auditorium as Pastor David continues his study in the book of Amos,

Men, plan to attend on Saturday, September 30, from 8-9:30 am in the Peace Auditorium. Guest speaker will be D.W. Rutledge, former Judson High School football coach and current President of the Texas High School Coaches Association.

We will be taking of the Lord's Table on October 1. Be sure to arrive on time as the service will be unique and you will not want to miss the opening. It is also our quarterly ingathering for World Hunger offerings and non-perishable items for RACAP. Please bring items to the Sanctuary stage on October 1.

We are looking for volunteers to help! Sign up to volunteer in the Sanctuary foyer or online at www.fbcuc.org. Candy donations are being accepted at the collection bins located in the Atrium and at the top of the spiral staircase on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Grace Building.
