In an effort to provide more consistency in customer service and products, the 281/Thousand Oaks location will close as of December 9, 2017.  They are hoping to provide a better customer service experience that will be more efficient and enjoyable for families.  They hope that consolidating will enable them to accomplish this.  

As of December 9th, please use the Castle Hills location only.  Of course, you are still welcome to take advantage of their on-line shopping 24/7 as well.

Daylight Savings Time Ends: Fall back, set your clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed November 4th.



The date of the 3rd-5th grade ACSI Spelling Bee has been changed from November 7th to November 8th. Thank you for continuing to practice the words with your students!



There will be NO school OR ELS on Friday, November 10th as we will be closed in observance of Veteran’s Day.


Math Olympics Change

There is a scheduling conflict with the District Math Olympics test on Thursday, November 9th.   The tests will be moved to Monday, November 13th at 8:10 a.m. in the cafeteria.  



Thursday, November 9th you can support FBA by going to Gatti’s from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and mentioning the school’s name.






Please continue to send in your items for the E.A.G.L.E.S (Expressing Abundance of God’s Love, Encouragement and Salvation) food baskets.  Send in your food items to your child’s homeroom teacher.  The deadline is Thurs., November 15th.

3rd:  cans of corn

4th:  cans of green beans

5th:  bags of sugar

6th:  cans of corn

7th: jars of gravy

12th:  cans of apple pie filling  


You may bring as many of the items listed for your grade level as you would like to bring.  You also don’t have to limit yourself to what is for your grade level.  You may bring any item or items you would like.

ELS will be closed November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.  





CONGRATULATIONS TO THE October 2017 winner:

Mrs. Goddard’s 6-12th grade choir earned the most Box Tops Points (875 points) for the October 2017 Electives and Support special competition! Way to R-o-c-k It!  Mrs. Goddard’s students special spirit day is Wednesday, Nov 15th.  Students may wear a school appropriate music shirt or spirit shirt.

******The Jog-a-thon and the Bike Rodeo have been rescheduled ******

for the Spring.  More information will be sent home at that time.




OPERATION CHRISTMAS BOXES DUE SUNDAY: The Operation Christmas Child boxes are due this Sunday, November 5.  Drop them off with Jody Lynch in the Atrium at Operation Christmas Child table.


ANGEL TREE PROGRAM: Sunday morning is our kick off to our annual Angel Tree Christmas Program.  It supports children in our community who have parents that are incarcerated.  You can pick your "Angel" in the foyer on Sunday, November 5 or 12.  Gifts need to be turned in November 19 or 26.  Thank you so much for your support to these precious children.


PARENT CHILD DEDICATION: is a special celebration for parents to gather with family and friends, making a commitment to raise their child in a Christ-centered home. During all three of our Worship Service, families will have an opportunity, to stand before the church and celebrate the gift of their child. There will be a specific time in the Worship Service when parents make a public commitment before the congregation and the congregation will commit to support these parents as they raise their children to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.

In order to participate family will attend a mandatory meeting on Sunday, November 12 at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary.  

 NIGHT OF WORSHIP: Please join us on Thursday, November 9, at 7:00 pm in the Peace Auditorium.  Heart Indwelled will be leading us in Praise.
